Background

The Good Neighbor Health Clinic opened in White River Junction in 1992 to ensure that quality medical care is available to all those in the wider Upper Valley in medical need and without the means to pay. In August 1996, we opened the Red Logan Dental Clinic in response to the need for dental care.

Both the medical and dental clinics are actively involved in matching clients to other kinds of resources they need. We have assisted people with problems related to housing, job placement, clothing or transportation. We provide these referral services to our clients and to callers who may not be seen in our clinics. All medical and dental providers are comprised of volunteer physicians, nurses, allied health personnel and medical/dental students. Other community volunteers work non-clinic hours to prepare charts, update the database, and provide clerical assistance. Both Dartmouth College students and members of the community volunteer in the medical clinic as admissions and clinic managers.
